London, 5 November 2026 – The JAECOO 7 has retained its position as the UK’s best-selling car for the second consecutive month, marking its third time at the top of the sales charts in 2026, as OMODA&JAECOO UK takes a 6.1% share of the UK new-car market in October, according to the latest figures released today by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT)*.

With 3,412 registrations in October, the JAECOO 7 topped the charts, following its previous number-one positions in March and September*. The result takes the JAECOO 7’s 2026 total to 42,885 registrations, making it the UK’s second best-selling new car so far this year*. Three monthly wins this year, two of them back-to-back, underline the SUV’s sustained popularity, cementing its position among the UK’s best-selling new cars in 2026.

The achievement comes less than two years after JAECOO entered the UK market in January 2025. In that time, the JAECOO 7 has gone from newcomer to a three-time monthly bestseller. It shows how quickly the brand has become a familiar sight on British roads, in one of Europe’s most competitive automotive markets, as it builds on the momentum of its first full year of UK sales.

Across the wider portfolio, OMODA&JAECOO recorded 9,226 registrations in October*, a 6.1% share of the UK new-car market and a 2.6% increase on October 2025, when it registered 4,953 vehicles*. The performance follows a record-breaking September, when OMODA&JAECOO registered 22,296 vehicles and achieved a 6.37% market share. October’s results also demonstrate the growing breadth of OMODA&JAECOO UK’s success. Alongside the JAECOO 7, the JAECOO 5 took tenth place in the UK’s best-selling model rankings, with 2,171 registrations*, while the OMODA 5 finished 15th with 1,770*, giving OMODA&JAECOO three models in the UK’s top 15. Meanwhile, the JAECOO E5 was the third best-selling EV with 1,465 sold in October.

Victor Zhang, Managing Director of OMODA&JAECOO UK, said: “October has been a significant month for OMODA&JAECOO. Our International User Summit gave us a first look at the next generation of models, and to then see the JAECOO 7 remain at the top of the UK market is a strong endorsement of the work our team and retailers have put in here.

“There is a great deal still to come before the end of the year, and beyond it. Our focus is on making sure the experience of owning one of our cars matches the excitement of buying one. That means continued investment in our retailers, our parts network and the support we give customers for as long as they own their car. That is what will turn a strong year into a lasting business.”

The October results follow a period of rapid expansion for OMODA&JAECOO UK. Since OMODA entered the British market in August 2024, followed by JAECOO in January 2025, the dual-brand has introduced a widening range of petrol, hybrid, plug-in hybrid and fully electric SUVs, and its retailer network now stands at more than 140 locations. This investment has helped bring the vehicles to a wider audience, supported by an increasing line-up designed to meet different driving requirements and lifestyles.

Investment in the ownership experience has continued alongside this growth. The recent introduction of eight regional Super Parts Hubs across Great Britain, complementing the company’s partnership with the RAC, is designed to improve parts availability and reduce vehicle downtime. Meanwhile, the launch of the OJ Approved used-car programme has extended the dual-brand’s offering beyond the new-car market, giving customers additional reassurance and support throughout their ownership journey.
